Iamnotu is def my fav design there – touch and go really. One page websites can work for some companys I guess, mainly for portfolio websites really.

Campfirebelly and Brizk are my favorite designs on this list (perhaps because I’m such an art junkie?)

It’s nice to see lists of one-page site designs- not enough is done with this- but I love the simplicity of one-page sites, and speaking as an (amateur!) web designer, it’s much easier to design and customize a one-page site- somehow, they lend themselves to more ornate designs.

Wow the quality of these sites is average at best … ugh

professional and cool single page designs.

Can we really call these “single page websites?” Many of these examples are multi-page sites with unusual navigational features– horizontal scrolling, javascript-controlled navigation, or modal and pop-ups.

I wrote a ridiculous example many moons ago of this kind of thing, but I never considered it “single page design.” It was multiple pages, established workflow, and nifty special effects.

I suppose you are right to an extent when you say there is no good or bad web design. Sometimes you stumble across a design that looks so bad that you wonder if it was done on purpose, and then you think if it was done on purpose that’s actually quite funny. So saying the look of a website is bad is down to subjective opinion.

Where a design can be bad however is in terms of functionality, how easy it is to navigate, does the site function properly, not broken links or links that go to the wrong place. That aspect could be considered bad.
