I don’t know which came first for this one, but the Jennifer’s Body Poster is almost EXACTLY the same as the one for the True Blood series on HBO. Someone is plaigarizing.

It seems like some of the more popular movie poster designs this year are focusing on macros and head shots. While it is refreshing to see that many of these posters look like works of art, I am disheartened by the fact that some are moving in the direction of corporate advertisements.

Interesting list although some of them aren’t so impressive. Transformers 2: it’s a simple character poster, nothing spectacular or creative going on here.

ugly truth !!!!!!!!!!!!

on the whole a great collection…but why on earth is The Ugly Truth in there ! that should be in the list of ‘most ordinary film posters of all time’…not the best of 2009

although..have just realised with the Ugly Truth…..she holds her heart by her head, and he’s holding his by his nether regions, and thats the difference between men and women….maybe ? still not a great poster though….

Couldn’t this have been called Most Movies of 2009. I mean, most of these weren’t really all that creative in terms of what movie posters are these days.

Some of these are cool, a lot of them are awful, The Ugly Truth one is pretty generic, but there was another version where it was men and women signs, like ones that would be on restrooms, on the head and crotch of the male and female icon respectively, and that was pretty good.

Good collection- the Eden Log poster makes me want to see it right away, but I can’t believe that The Ugly Truth was included- two of the most overdone things in movie posters are black-white-and-red color schemes, and romantic comedy posters with the main couple leaning against each other. It’s a steaming pile of painful cliche in an otherwise great list.

I personally love the cover of Watchmen, the one where Rorschach’s crouching and the shards of glass are framing him.

The Ugly Truth poster? Really? I’ve seen that on T-shirts in every crappy 24hr souvenir shop I’ve ever been to. They might as well make a movie called “FBI: Female Body Inspector.”
