Craft The Perfect Contact Us Page

Not long ago, I wrote an article on crafting your perfect 404 page. Now I am here with some tips on creating a perfect contact page.

Generally, a user visits the contact page for getting the location, email, and contact number. Moreover, this is also a place where developers and designers can focus on getting more leads. For this, there is a need to create a picture-perfect contact us page.

There are some rules which should be followed to create a perfect contact us page.

Design

The design of a website is what attracts more users. One thing which keeps them from switching to another website is design. It grabs attention.

The headings, sub—headings, bullet points, and complete layout should be placed in a flawless pattern. The 404 and contact page should be given special importance because it’s an opportunity to get more leads.

Header Message

Design appeals a user to navigate a web page for a moment; however it’s not the only way of appealing a user; a 3-4 word text can also make things work. These are some headers generally used on websites.

  • Get in Touch
  • We’re All Ears.
  • We’d love to hear from you.
  • Want to work with us.
  • Drop us a line and we will help you.
  • Let’s start a conversation.
  • Meet us at
Confirmation

A confirmation message convinces the users and gives assurance that there would be someone who will contact them after reading it. Here are some powerful messages which could be seen on some websites. This could help in building business relationships.

  • Please allow some days to contact you.
  • We will contact you within 24 hours.
  • We check our emails every day and reply even if we’re at dinner.
Location with map

If you want people to visit the physical location of your business, then there is a need to add a map. Although some websites still add a static map with no option for interactive location, directions, etc. I’m afraid these kinds of maps won’t look professional. Simply visit Google Map and register your business location, then position and embed the link on contact page.

Testimonial and reviews

Testimonials and product reviews on the contact page could create interest. Found this page while navigating where reviewer’s ratings are provided. It’s not the contact page of the website, but it’s a pop-up for sending a message. However, we could also provide this thing on our contact us page. It would surely attract users.

Website with user reviews Coalition technologies.

Here, we can also include Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Glassdoor reviews.

Responsive

Responsive websites are the need of today, especially when Google’s next algorithm update is on its way. It is said that this would be a mobile algorithm update which would lower the rank of websites that are not mobile friendly. So, your contact page should be responsive with clear visibility of map on iPad, mobile, Tablets.

Working Hours/Support

Here, working hours can also be mentioned with customer support timings. For Example, You can catch us from 9 AM to 6 PM from Monday to Friday.

Lead generation social links

The success of a website also depends on social media marketing. Sharing of information at a go and introducing users to social media profiles is of much help. For this, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest follow links and/or profiles, etc. could also be added to the contact page for getting more leads. Websites can also display their social media followers on the contact page.

Some other useful information

Suitable heading and content with links on the contact page could also help in influencing users to click on it. Let say, content with headings like.

  • Other enquiries.
  • Browse Topic.
  • Coming Soon

Some other useful information
Browse Topic section can be shown on contact page.
