Nice list. It’s good to see that there are others that understand that, sometimes, less is more. More focus on the site’s content than the over all presentation of the site.
Nice resource… Bookmarked. It’s true.. Good things always comes in small packages as same as minimalism in web design.
I like the minimal style. very clean and neat. instantshift is also kinda minimal in it’s niche.
This is a kind of practice every designer should follow. At least new designers should learn the real meaning behind minimal design.
I saw loads of cluttered and unbalance website these days. It seems like people can digest anything.
Great inspiration source!

wonderful collection. i’m glad to see some familiar faces among the crowd (sites that seem to make the spotlight time and time again)
Very inspiring and truly minimal with excellent readability
I’ve seen a lot of companies start focusing on the Apple inspired minimalist design mindset. This is great for some types of sites–one product sites or sited based around one idea.
Even so, I read a recent article about a study that showed that longer pages with more content convert customers better than shorter pages. I think the idea is to reduce the friction it take for a customer to find out everything about your product. For instance, scrolling down the same page takes less thought than deciding which page to click on next.
In the end, you have to balance the desire to make things simple with that fact that content really is King.
Awesome collection, very impressive and useful resources, bookmarked

Great round-up of minimal design here.
I absolutely love the Maksimer design as minimal/colorful designs have always appealed to me, stripped down to fundamental features instead of being cluttered. This is great to get some inspiration and as Dieter Rams once said “Less but better”.
