It’s not a secret that for years, Apple has had a huge impact on designers across the globe. Apple has always able to found an extremely effective way to deliver its message via web to a wide audience and their design is often a key source of inspiration for everyone who is related to design field. There’s a couple of sites in there that are really far from being inspired from Apple.com. I mean, what do Pixelmator and Apple websites have in common ?

@Bogdan Pop – In my view Pixelmator also using apple layout, some features and icons styles..Don’t go with the color….that is why it’s in the list.
I am agree with Bogdan. Really there are lots of sites you have added which i think have not inspired from apple.com
as far as i can understand pixelmator have apple look like big header image and description with icons and sidebar too. That’s all i can see. Still, it’s a quality collection of inspired designs but i still like to go with original.

Not sure if “Apple” inspired them, or they realized that crisp, clean, and focused are better for sales!
So, using white, and icons, and large header image says apple inspired me? 1 out of trillions of websites? I’m sorry but I dont buy it. I understand that 1,2,3 and 4 are so close its obviously ripped, but I think saying the others were inspired by apple moreso than the obvious trends (clean, gradients, large font faces) of the past few years is an insult to the design process of those designers.
my client says, “i want a horizontal nav, a feature on the homepage for 1 topic, oh and make it clean and minimalist”… you would say, “just another apple rip off”. I say there are only a few ways to give the client exactly what they are asking for.
I welcome any criticism.
They’re common because most are made for Mac products.
I like this collection. The only thing I don’t like is that other websites directly copy Apple’s style. I thought that as designers, we are supposed to create new, unique designs?
….. great inspiration through Apple technology; I’ve heard they are the choice of professional designers…. so why do all the one’s I talk to use…. a PC ?

I run the Filipino iPhone Community website with a few friends, and we decided to change the design which is very much inspired by Apple’s:

this list also contains web designs less similar to apple’s i think. many websites that is using 960 grid, have small images with rounded corners, have gray color-schemed main theme and some css3 properties (like text-shadow, box-shadow) in here.

well the look of mac (apple) is all the way killin and the apperance of websites based on this are really attractive…

Wow! Very cool collection!
But on some websites I can’t see the relation to the apple design. Just because a site is clean and has a slick design that doesn’t mean it’s apple related.

If I was Apple I would sue Gibson for plagiarism. The Gibson website was not inspired by, but copied from apple.com. Every element was copied, from the breadcrumb to the way the order buttons are positioned and the use of pictures. Definitely a design no-no.

Some Sites are not inspired by Apple (I Think). It’s different from Apple. Minimalism Design Theory doesn’t mean that Apple inspired. I think you should named this article as “Mac Apps Websites for Inspirations” cuz most of sites are Mac Apps Sites. Anyway, Great Compilation

People get inspired by Apple’s website that’s why they create website which looks similar to Apple’s website.
I love Gibson, but I can’t believe management green-lit a web redesign that so blatantly rips off Apple. I thought it was a GarageBand site or something… Amazing guitars, amazingly lazy web design.
