WordPress Christmas – A Free WordPress Theme
To continue our grateful attitude to our readers and community in general, we are glad to release our first free wordpress theme – “Wordpress Christmas”. It’s our latest high-quality freebies addition in Christmas week. This theme was specially designed for Smashing Magazine readers.
The theme has 2 columns layout and is based on Christmas and holidays and has some fresh appealing funky icons. Feel free to change the logo and header with yours choice of logo and images. This theme can be used for any projects but it’s forbidden to sell or redistribute.
The PSD source file of the logo image has also been included with the package. So feel free to edit the logo with yours. In my suggestion this theme design can be used for any projects and will be useful especially for event related projects.
All the comments are welcome as they put their contribution towards next Christmas gifts topic.

I regret to inform you that a number of things could definately be improved to this theme.
Unordered lists don’t have a list-style by default, for example. A major flaw that can easily be fixed by anyone with even the slightest idea about how to write CSS, but this still shouldn’t be the state a theme is released in – not even for free.
Also, though rather a personel request than a flaw, is the lack of a drop-down menu for subpages. Besides this, great theme. I’ll probably use it for a project in the future.
Aww come on guys, widgetized sidebars aren’t even styled! I can understand the fact that you aimed for a Christmass release for this theme, but this thing needs an update before it can even qualify as a complete theme.
Sorry to bring this up on Christmass guys, still thanks for this theme :)
David, We will be updating this theme and probably release v1.1 soon enough with full template PSD source file. We will fix few bugs that we noticed and will implement few suggestions we are receiving.

Though Christmas is over I would still ove to see this theme Updated. I actually already modified the header to a non-christmas blogtheme.
But I very much like the look of the theme.
For me the Widgets just won’t work. If I delete all widgets then the sidebar will be shown correct. When I have custom widgets running then the sidebar will load without graphics and just show the text and the links in wrong font format.

Dkumar, i found that the ‘new entries’ and ‘lder entries’ navigation function not working for the theme. I can’t find it display on my home page. Any ideas?

“More” is the wordpress tag that breaks a post into “teaser” and content sections. Type a few paragraphs, insert this tag, then compose the rest of your post. On your blog’s home page you’ll see only those first paragraphs with a hyperlink ((more…)), which when followed displays the rest of the post’s content.

Hello, thanks for this theme. I would like to suggest you to add the “Reply” and “Quote” features of Inove Theme in order to become the default for WordPress Christmas.
This is an outstanding theme! I’ve modified it somewhat. Best theme I’ve ever used!
I have a small problem, which I don’t see anyone has addressed here— the photos I place in my blog posts are all automatically shifted to the left, even when I place code in my post to center an image, or move it to the right. I’m *somewhat* familiar with CSS, but I cannot figure out how to stop my images from settling to the left. Any ideas??

Im looking to use this theme for the upcoming Xmas but i have a very small problem which should be an easy fix but i dont know much about wordpress, basically i have alot of Sub pages and the theme is displaying these sub pages along the top next to the main pages. As the top bar cant handle so many pages its breaking the theme, is there a way to simply not list the sub pages along the top next to the main pages, (i can use the pages widget to list the sub pages)

Love the theme, however – it looks very broken in IE8
